While home for the holidays a couple years back Jamie was visiting Chris and jamming (well, this is a given!) when Chris suggested they make a Christmas record for their Moms, playing traditional carols the way they've been jamming for decades. Little did they know as they muddled through "Greensleeves" while sipping holiday cognac that they would create this recording!

Christmas Chills is the result of several years of work, arranged by Jamie and Chris, and features Chris' amazing guitar work as well as his studio acumen (see the Chris page for info about his studio and career! - you want this guy making your CD!) and Jamie's acoustic guitars. They believe nobody has ever approached Christmas carols in quite this way before and have decided to market the project beyond their Moms (who, by the way, were quite pleased with the present!)

If you're tired of Mall Carols and the usual holiday repetition you'll find this music a cure, and hopefully a new holiday tradition!

Jamie Shaler On Vacation, Beeswax cassette album from 1988 featuring Jamie with Jeff Baust and Craig Kahn. 4 songs are produced by Hirsch Gardner and the rest are live in the studio. "Desert Sun" received lots of airplay and won the studio time used for the live part of the album in a songwriting contest on WAAF sponsored by Pepsi.
